A to Z Challenge: Theme Poetry -- Loneliness & Heartbreak
In my earlier post I accepted A to Z Challenge. The Challenge is to write a post for the letter designated for the particular day (Calendar above).
The game sounds overwhelming to me. But...how would it be if we take a step further? Write our posts on a single theme? I thought over it. To write on a single theme for 26 posts, you need to be good in the genre you would pick. Well, I am comfortable in writing short stories, but looking at the time I take in thinking, re-thinking, writing draft, re-writing, publishing for a single post takes more than a week. I would not survive the challenge even for a week! So I have made my pick! Something that is spontaneous and closer to my heart, Poetry! So --
My Genre is Poetry. And my Theme is –– Heartbreak & Loneliness.
I am eager to post and to meet some inspiring bloggers. I look forward to the fest!
Hope it would be fun!

I always love poetry - how that theme won't be too limiting for you though.

DeleteThanks for stopping by... Hope to see you back in April!

haha... yea... the title is meant to pull the cheerful traffic ;)
DeleteI am one of the minions who will be checking on you throughout the challenge. You are off to a great start by revealing your theme today. I look forward to keeping company with you in April. A tip: Just a thought: Do you want to apologize for your pick before you even get started? Does it make a reader want to come back if you aren't certain of what they will be getting. Why not quickly go back and edit this theme page with no apology. People will be looking at it more than just today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that wonderful tip...It didnt occur to me until I read your comment... I have made edits to my post..Thanks a ton! See you soon in April!
DeleteHey! Don't worry about making a mistake or being perfect. JUST DO IT. Maybe figure out a system? Perhaps write poems for 10 days straight? Then look over at it, but don't get discouraged. The goal is to just to write, so express freely. At the end of the month you can go back and look over it. By then you will have the satisfaction of sticking through it. P.S - Good luck! YOU CAN DO IT!
ReplyDeleteHey, Thank you for the encouraging words! :)
DeleteExcited to see what you come up with. I used to write a lot of poetry and my theme was usually the same!
