Living on the street was his fate
Food twice a day was was never on his plate

There were endless lists, lists of wishes always to pray
But the reality of life, witched them in gray

Then when he found the money, lying on the floor
How could he return, when he always wished for more

Ice cream and chocolates, he had seen people licking
Now wasn't it his time, to do some relishing?

Written for Sunday Scribblings: Prompt - Indulgence

  1. awesome o :D

well well this is one finger licking kick ass prompt by you!

    though i m on a sweet free diet, i m still savorin!

  2. it would be such a wonder if that really happened to street people, wouldn't it? :)

  3. Megha, it just can't be his indulgence. Its his penury that will make him not return. After all hungry stomach is more powerful than virtuous mind. But I wonder, what will happen when someone gets to know that a street kid got some money from the floor and relished some ice cream, what i can only here is a beaten up kid, surprised at the atrocities of life. Hopefully the kid enjoys his ice cream.
